GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: With a customer service orientation employee will oversee all patient demographics, insurance verification, collection of all account balances and procedure visits, as well as patient benefit plan information. Project the professional image of Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group while expediently checking in patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
• Oversee waiting area, coordinate patient flow and report problems to immediate supervisor
• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information and update as necessary into the Practice Management System.
• Verify patient paperwork for completion and scan documents, insurance card(s) and photo identification into the Practice Management System.
• Contact insurance companies for benefits, collecting patient responsibility of services rendered prior to departing the office
• Data entry into a computerized system
• Calculate current and prior balance from patients
• Counsel the patient of any financial arrangements such as deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, or non-covered items based on the estimate generated.
• Prepare and verify daily deposit for billing
• Verify current information for upcoming appointment
• Conducts reminder calls to patients
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
