Courier Express provides shipping solutions across the New England area, specializing in expedited, same-day delivery. We are looking for Medical Courier employees to join our team at our onsite facilities at UCONN Health in Farmington or at Bristol Hospital in Bristol. Our ideal applicants will provide prompt, courteous and professional delivery/pickup service to multiple facilities and will also contribute to the hospitals’ missions to provide the best experience possible to their patients!

These positions could involve different routes that would include full-time and part-time schedules, with with hours between 7AM and 7 PM, plus occassional and weekend hours. We expect our delivery agents to be respectful and responsible with the medical items being transported. This position could involve a great deal of walking each day (3-4miles), as well as numerous times getting in and out of the vehicle.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must pass background check and have clean driving record
• Must pass drug screening that includes testing for marijuana (Federal/DOT requirement)
• Must be vaccinated for CoVID-19 OR be willing to get the vaccination
• Must meet all requirements of our insurance carrier
• Be extremely comfortable with using smart devices: phones, GPS & Bluetooth
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operating a company-owned mini-cargo van OR SUV and maneuvering into loading or unloading positions
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses on multiple routes, including, but not limited to medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, equipment, linens & interoffice mail
• Follow route and time schedule, but have flexibility for possible add-on “STAT” pickups
• Fast paced work environment
• Walking up to 3-4 miles per day
• Inside office pickups and deliveries
