Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Erie, PA
Contract duration: 18 months
Description:
Mechanical design engineer
- Responsible for the structural design of industrial high voltage cabinets - sheet metal fabrications used to house high voltage electrical equipment used in the propulsion system of mining vehicles and locomotives.
- Responsible for the arrangement of electrical equipment in high voltage cabinets.
- Responsible for all phases of product development including requirements definition, concept development, detailed design and analysis, drawing release, validation testing, and production support.
- Desired experience with the following engineering tools: NX, Ansys Workbench
- Years of Experience: 3 to 6 years
Typical work hours are 8:00AM-5:00PM, however some flexibility is required depending on specific project's meeting times.
