Summary/Objective
The materials marketing coordinator is responsible for the sale of recyclable commodities to our facilities and brokerage customers.

Essential Functions

• Aggressively identify, pursue and market material to plastic brokers, processors, and mills and present preferred vendor pricing to the seller.
• Be familiar with each plant’s list of commodities and the frequencies along with the types of industries that generate the materials.
• Act as a liaison between brokers, processors and mills to ensure information is timely and accurate in order to maintain integrity for all parties on every transaction.
• Communicate customer concerns and complaints to the manager.
• Provide analysis on material projections as part of company product, price, and value-added service strategies.
• Be familiar with all types of grades of recyclable materials and the competitive market relative to the industry.
• Communicate with and support other divisions such as Brokerage, Operations, and Sales, with pricing requests and material marketing needs.
• Accurately represent materials that we sell to our customers.
• Update sales orders within cieTrade monthly.
• Update values of material sell prices monthly within cieTrade.
• Develop a list and map the location of current paper mills,
• Maintain lists and track products of interest by region.
• Perform clerical duties and operate within departmental budget.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent and six months of previous customer service, or sales experience.
• Valid Driver’s License
