Primary Responsibility: Loads, unloads and moves materials at plant and yard. Receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keeps records and compiles stock reports.

*** Must have at least 1 year experience driving both sit down forklift and reach truck***

1. Reads work orders and schedules, receives and listens to oral instructions to determine work assignment.

2. Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using crane, hoist, or forklift when necessary.

3. Loads and unloads materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks and shelves, or vehicles, such as trucks. This may include raw bowls, finished sinks, steel coils, pallets, corrugate, components and picking orders.

4. Load or unload items for vendors only as directed by leadership.

5. Transports receptacles to and from designated areas, by hand or using dollies, hand trucks, hand jacks, and/or forklifts.

6. Installs Elkay Manufacturing protective devices, such as bracing, padding or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

7. Records number of units handled and moved, manually using daily move sheet and electronically using handheld scanner.

8. Bundles and bands material, such as boxes, scrap cardboard, sinks, and raw steel material, using banding machines, chains, and / or stretch wrap.

9. Stacks or piles materials including scrap cardboard, pallets.

10. Cleans work area, using brooms, rags, and cleaning compounds.

11. Sorts and stores items according to specifications.

12. Delivers and removes products, supplies, and equipment to designated area using forklift truck.

13. Locates and selects material, supplies, tools, equipment, or other articles from stock or issues stock item to workers. (Manually or computer)

14. Records nature, quantity, value, or location of material, supplies, or equipment received, shipped, used, or issued to workers as needed in Shift Leader’s absence.

15. Assists other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard teammates.

16. Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and instruments, and storage areas to ensure compliance to safety regulations.

17. Drives fork lift truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver parts to designated locations.

18. Additional duties as assigned
