1st SHift - Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $20/hr

Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

The Material Handler Lead assists the Warehouse Supervisor in directing the work of Receivers and Shipping Department team members, as their primary duty. They are to create an environment of continuous improvement and high employee engagement. They must have critical planning skills to ensure the warehouse remains organized, productive and efficient.

• Daily/weekly planning of trailer unload schedules in coordination with Warehouse Supervisor, to support production requirements and shipping schedules.
• Eliminate bottlenecks restricting productivity.
• Promote a highly engaged workforce and address any issues in an timely manner.
• Treat all employees with respect and dignity.
• Assist in departmental training.
• Maintain adherence to all Bridgestone Aircraft Tire safety guidelines.
• Provide effective cross-functional communication between departments.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment per 3S and KY standards
• Keep detailed daily records and maintain inventory control accuracy.
• Actively monitor improvements and process changes for compliance and sustainability.
• Assist in cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Other projects as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor and /or Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
• Lead by example.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to handle and move up to 50 lbs using appropriate safe lifting techniques
• Ability to safely handle tires and equipment, using proper PPE
• Ability to closely follow instructions and specifications While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is:
• Regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
• Regularly required to talk or hear
• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
• The noise level in the work environment is loud; the work environment temperature varies with the seasons
