Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. Position Summary:

The Public Relations/Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Public Relations/Marketing team in implementing the hospital marketing and public relations program by managing and creating content for social and digital platforms. And assisting the team as otherwise needed.

Essential Functions:

• Develops communication vehicles for Horizon Health.
• Develops simple video content-coordination and/or production.
• Create materials: fliers, brochures, social media images.
• Take and edit digital pictures.
• Documents department activities for historical use.
• Plans recognitions related to healthcare observances.
• Participates in and helps coordinate committees and events related to
• employee initiatives, such as SEAL Team.
• Works with the department as a whole to support the Horizon Health
• Foundation of East Central Illinois with their PR/marketing needs.
• Assists the departmental team in community events as necessary.
• Assists the manager in the role of Public Information Officer during a disaster.
• Supports all other functions of the department as needed.
• Supports and promotes the hospital's mission, vision, values and goals.
• Models Horizon Health's Behavioral Standards.
• Follow all policies and procedures as established by Horizon Health, including confidentiality.

Position Requirements:

• Must be self-motivated, willing to take initiative and able to work without
• supervision
• Strong ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience managing-and creating content for-social & digital marketing platforms
• Associate, Bachelor's, or applicable certificate in marketing/communications related field-or proven work experience
• Must have good organizational skills
• Knowledge of simple photography, editing, and design programs desirable (such as iMovie, Canva, etc.)

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
