  • Provides leadership and direction to all team members at the manufacturing facility to ensure effective and continuous application of lean management principles consistent with customer requirements and with the goal of improving all manufacturing deliverables. Establishes manufacturing deliverable goals to ensure competitiveness in a World-Class environment.
  • Leads the site Health, Safety and Environment policies and compliance.
  • Provides strategic leadership in the identification and implementation of new and improved Manufacturing and Quality processes such as TQM, Six-Sigma, & Lean Thinking to raise the level of performance in all processes and deliverables.
  • Establishes a capital equipment budget with expenditure timing for facility equipment not captured in the Business unit’s plan. Reviews and manages facilities cost center financial goals and cost reductions initiatives in support of corporate objectives.
  • Reviews and manages Site financial goals and cost reductions initiatives in support of the business unit’s financial objectives.
  • Directs, motivates, coaches, and formally evaluates staff with accountabilities for Manufacturing, Shipping, and Warehousing activities. Ensures adequate training is conducted in lean management principles to all personnel. Establishes and maintains a Talent Management program to evaluate and upgrade the skill sets of the staff.
  • Prepares inputs into the Corporate Manufacturing Budget and manages operational costs to ensure financial and variance goals are achieved for each Cost Center in the site.
  • Monitors Manufacturing Capacity utilization, and Process capabilities on a continuous basis, and proactively ensures that additional capacity and capabilities are employed to support business growth.
  • Works very closely through the Business Unit to coordinate with the commercial team and IBP to align with customer’s needs, trends in the markets, and future demand.
  • Coordinates with Business Unit Applications Engineering and Platform Management to maintain design standards, product portfolio alignment and development activities as required.
  • Develops site Manufacturing Strategies and tactics in support of the business unit’s goals. Supports the overall Corporate Vision and provides inputs to adapt to the changing business environment.
  • Manages business data and develop administrative techniques to maintain control of all areas for accountability. Analyze data and make business decisions in a timely manner.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education
A bachelor’s degree in a Manufacturing or Engineering discipline preferred.
Skills and Experience
At 7-10 years of in-depth association with Manufacturing Operations relevant to Greene Tweed activities. Manufacturing knowledge and experience in mid-level management positions is advantageous. Lean Manufacturing, advanced technical and six-sigma knowledge and application is preferred along with SAP experience.
Responsiveness to internal and external customers with a wide range of manufacturing and service requirements. Knowledge of World Class manufacturing practices and ability to implement practices at that level. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
