Black Knights Sports & Entertainment (BKSE) owns the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights, the IFL’s Vegas Knight Hawks, the Dollar Loan Center arena and several other entertainment and hospitality-focused entities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Events understands the planning and oversees the efficient operation of all Events. The position reports to the Director of Events regarding overall planning and execution of events occurring in the facility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with Venue and Event staff in executing all event details
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with promoters, vendors, clients of the facility and tenant team members.
  • Communicate all upcoming events to supporting staff and external businesses
  • Assures and maintains the integrity of the department and company in all forms of communication and personal contacts.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and Code compliance for the operation of the facility.
  • Assist the Director of Events in aspects of confirmed events from preliminary planning to final execution.
  • Daily interaction and communication with support departments.
  • Responsible for assisting the oversight of all events
  • Attend pre-event briefing / meeting with Event staff
  • Perform other job -related duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • Ability to work under the guidance, leadership of the Director of Events
  • Some Working knowledge of Fire Life Safety, NAFP, OSHA, Occupancy, and other code enforcement agencies.
  • Understanding of basic principles and practices of event management and crowd management principles.
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate large projects simultaneously.
  • General understanding of other venue related departments including marketing, ticketing, security, guest services, and production

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field, but experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in working with similar facilities.
  • Proven experience in. Event management

OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND/OR DUTIES
  • Ability to work in dark, bright, smoky, dusty, cold and/or confined spaces.
  • Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time on hard surfaces.
  • Comfortable working around large crowds.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Execute other job duties as assigned.
  • Able to work both indoor and outdoor events
