Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• High school/Technical school or equivalent
• One to three years experience in Maintenance
• Must submit to and pass a yearly physical examination.
• Must have a valid New York State Driver’s license.
• Must have physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Performs all minor repairs on electrical equipment, e.g., cord ends, call cords, bedside lamps, etc.
• Performs a variety of tasks involved in anchoring of objects.
• Prepares and paints walls, ceilings, doors, equipment, etc.
• Repairs clogged drains, leaky faucets, toilets, etc.
• Knowledge of Emergency fire panels.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment in good working order – uses hand and power tools, ladders, scaffolds, etc.
• Responsible for up-keep of grounds, both summer and winter, i.e., trimming, mowing, shoveling of snow, plowing with truck, etc.
• Makes rounds.
• Assist contractors working in building.
• Repair or replace light fixtures.
• Replace plugs/plate switches.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
