Maintenance and Landscaping Technician
Job Description

SCOPE:
Completes assigned repair, warranty and preventative maintenance service oflawn care equipment by performing the following duties. Performs all landscaping activities including mowing, watering, trimming and snow removal, safely operates landscaping equipment and ensures customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Receives and handles work orders as instructed by Management.

? Drives to specified sites to conduct appropriate tasks and routine inspections.

? Adhere to daily /weekly /monthly maintenance, mowing and landscaping schedules and tasks to be set up and agreed up on for each community.

? Operates landscaping equipment to include mowers, weeders, edgers, blowers, hedge trimmers and various hand tools in accordance with approved operating requirements and safety procedures.

? Removes weeds, leaves, tree suckers and trash at the end of each day to ensure a clean account.

? Reports to management when work is completed and/or any problems or discrepancies with jobs.

? Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner.

? Returns tools and unused supplies to appropriate storage area at the end of each day.

? Advises management of malfunctioning tools and equipment.

? Reports customer inquiries to management regarding jobs as needed.

? Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.

? Wears appropriate clothing and safety equipment in accordance with approved procedures.

? Checks oil and fuel in each machine prior to the start of the day.

? Cleans operating machines in accordance with approved procedures between job sites and at the end of the day.

? Ensure all equipment is secured while on job site.

? Protects items in the work area such as cars, windows and people from damage due to flying debris from equipment.

? Communicates any accidents/equipment malfunctions to management immediately.

? Communicates/reports account problems such as bugs, broken sprinklers, running water or wet/dry areas, flooding, skirting repairs, siding damage, and anything else that needs repair or removal to management as noticed.

? Adheres to time clock procedures, safety rules and regulations, equipment operation, equipment maintenance and proper landscape procedures in accordance with company training procedures.

? Attends and participates in scheduled training sessions as required.
