A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE TECH I
As a Maintenance Tech I, you play a critical role in the operations of our business. Every day, you perform a variety of preventative maintenance tasks on our machinery and equipment, including lubricating, cleaning, and adjusting. With a keen eye, you perform visual equipment inspections and perform necessary diagnostic testing. After troubleshooting any mechanical problems, you expertly replace defective parts by dismantling and reassembling the equipment to the original machine specifications.
Exceptionally organized, you keep our computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) current, ensuring our documentation of scheduled preventative maintenance, completed preventative maintenance, and subsequent spare parts inventory is correct. Our machines are kept in safe working condition as you consistently perform preventative, scheduled maintenance and repairs. You also keep our daily manufacturing processes running smoothly, performing crucial and efficient maintenance should anything go awry.
Always eager to further your skills, you continually learn new industry technologies, keeping yourself up to date with all the most efficient and effective techniques. A team player, you work with our installation team and implementation engineers on new installs as well as train others on our CMMS. You work in a safe, efficient manner, observing all company and OSHA standards. Each day is an adventure, and you get great satisfaction in knowing your expertise helps keep our factory up and running!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MAINTENANCE TECH I
- Basic understanding of manufacturing
- Proficiency in maintaining mechanical systems
- Experience using measuring equipment
- Understanding of hydraulic systems
- Understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage sensors and automation
- Familiarity with 5S, Visual Management, and other lean practices
- Ability to source and develop relationships as well as work with vendors and outsourced help
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation
The ability to weld would be a plus. An understanding of computer numerical control (CNC), milling, and lathe machines would also be beneficial. Would you like a position with a flexible schedule? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MAINTENANCE TECH I
This full-time skilled labor position enjoys flexible scheduling. Our facility management team must be available during production times. Some adaptability is required as you must be able to shift your schedule to accommodate PM or downtime work.
