Title: Maintenance Dispatcher

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Supervises: N/A

Department: Construction

Salary: $18 to $25 per hour

Position Mission: The dispatcher is responsible for efficiently dispatching calls to technicians and receiving and recording work orders from restaurants.

Responsibilities Include:

• Monitor daily maintenance technician schedule
• Dispatch work orders to field technicians according to priority and location
• Receive and record completed work orders from the restaurants
• Accurately create work orders in dispatch software, assign it to the appropriate technician, and publish a daily schedule of all technician assignments
• Monitor technician progress onsite, discusses with technician if additional time or work is needed, and ensures Maintenance Supervisor is aware
• Balance the demands for proactive maintenance scheduling, allocating resources for reactive repair needs, and keeping team members on the same page
• Contact restaurant leaders to confirm appointments as needed
• Communicate with field personnel via email and phone
• Handle paperwork for assigned departments and technicians
• Maintain accurate technician database
• Coordinate parts scheduling
• Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple tasks.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the company's values and standards.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• 2+ years of dispatching experience, preferably in HVAC, Plumbing, or a related industry
• Experience with MS Office applications and dispatching or maintenance software is preferred
• Experience with multiple phone lines is preferred
• Experience in the restaurant or retail space a plus
• Strong organizational skills is a must
• Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule as dictated by the needs of the business
• Must be able to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment with many interruptions. Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration are necessary for working on difficult projects, balancing numerous tasks simultaneously, and meeting deadlines.
• Works well under pressure and tight timelines
• The ability to work weekends and travel as needed.
