Title: Maintenance Dispatcher
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Supervises: N/A
Department: Construction
Salary: $18 to $25 per hour
Position Mission: The dispatcher is responsible for efficiently dispatching calls to technicians and receiving and recording work orders from restaurants.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor daily maintenance technician schedule
- Dispatch work orders to field technicians according to priority and location
- Receive and record completed work orders from the restaurants
- Accurately create work orders in dispatch software, assign it to the appropriate technician, and publish a daily schedule of all technician assignments
- Monitor technician progress onsite, discusses with technician if additional time or work is needed, and ensures Maintenance Supervisor is aware
- Balance the demands for proactive maintenance scheduling, allocating resources for reactive repair needs, and keeping team members on the same page
- Contact restaurant leaders to confirm appointments as needed
- Communicate with field personnel via email and phone
- Handle paperwork for assigned departments and technicians
- Maintain accurate technician database
- Coordinate parts scheduling
- Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple tasks.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the company's values and standards.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- 2+ years of dispatching experience, preferably in HVAC, Plumbing, or a related industry
- Experience with MS Office applications and dispatching or maintenance software is preferred
- Experience with multiple phone lines is preferred
- Experience in the restaurant or retail space a plus
- Strong organizational skills is a must
- Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule as dictated by the needs of the business
- Must be able to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment with many interruptions. Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration are necessary for working on difficult projects, balancing numerous tasks simultaneously, and meeting deadlines.
- Works well under pressure and tight timelines
- The ability to work weekends and travel as needed.

Occasionally positioning oneself (e.g., stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, push, pull) to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
