Job description

We are looking for a full time, direct hire Maintenance Controls Engineer in Lake City, PA

You will:

Work collaboratively with the VP of Operations and/or other department members to create software applications and configuration files for all programmable devices on site. This includes PLC logic, operator interfaces, motion controllers, robotics, vision inspection systems, and other programmable process equipment.

1. Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements.

2. Interpret detailed specifications for automation and control systems.

3. Have PLC and HMI programming Experience

4. Be proficient with multiple control system (PLC) platforms.

5. Have experience with multiple supervisory (HMI/SCADA) packages, both general graphics/interface and advanced software capabilities.

6. Oversee the set-up and functioning of all automated equipment and machinery

7. Participate in final system functional performance testing

8. Research new equipment / technologies and recommend alternative engineering solutions to management to meet business needs

9. Develop clear understanding of new automated equipment intended function, communicate/train technicians on set-ups and maintenance

10. Ability to troubleshoot and repair emergency electrical calls in a timely manner.

11. Have the ability to read, modify and create schematics.

12. Perform extensive troubleshooting and basic programming skills on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).

13. Program, install and repair DC drives and Variable AC frequency drives (VFD’s).

14. Be able to install, troubleshoot and repair three phase motor controls.

15. Assist and perform any mechanical tasks as necessary.
