The Huntsville Manufacturing Plant is looking to add a Machine Technician to run a variety of Computer Numerical Control machines per quality operating system requirements in a high-volume manufacturing environment per control plan guidelines to ensure consistent product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors computer screens and interprets quality data to determine that process is running according to control plan and reports deviations to Group Leader

• Responds to machine faults and takes corrective action

• Troubleshoots work-related problems and makes repairs on the spot as needed and reports to Group Leader

• Documents rework and scrap using the non-conforming material procedure

• Observes tool wear detection and makes tooling changes when required

• Works in teams to identify and implement process improvements and error proofing procedures

• Verifies compliance with process instructions and control plans, reports deviations to Group Leader

• Enters quality data from manual SPC station data into the compute

• Verifies gage calibration requirements for engine blocks, heads, cams, and liners

• Anticipates potential production problems by proactively reviewing equipment condition and initiating corrective action when needed

• Monitors special characteristics to ensure compliance with control plan requirements

• Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries and complies with all safety and environmental requirements
