Summary/Objective:
Set up and operate all equipment associated with the saw line
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follows predetermined operating standards (SOP) for maintenance of industrial saws and cutting tools
- Utilize measuring instruments – dial calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators while able to maintain predetermined tolerances
- Maintains saw blades according to customer's or manufacturer's specifications, using hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment: Examines saw for defects.
- Ability to optimize machine utilization with attention to detail
- Computes the number and angle of teeth to produce the specified cut.
- Clamps the blade in the saw-filing machine and turn the hand wheel to adjust the distance between teeth, the angle of the bevel, and the depth of cut of the file or abrasive wheel.
- Starts a machine that automatically grinds teeth.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years ‘of manufacturing experience
