Mebane Builders Supply (part of the Goldsboro Builders Supply Family of Companies) is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our Team.

The Operations Manager is the linchpin of the Yard and is responsible for leading the Operations Team and managing all aspects of the Lumber Yard Operations from receiving to shipping to returns, and everything in between.

Responsibilities: (among others)

· Lead and Mentor the Operations Team

· Coordinate/manage tasks and workflow for Operations Team

· Manage material receiving

· Manage the building of delivery loads

· Manage and plan delivery routes (Dispatch) to meet delivery schedules

· Manage the inspection/cross-check (Quality Assurance) of loads

· Manage and schedule maintenance on equipment and vehicles

· Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe Lumber Yard

· Ensure employees remain compliant with Safety regulations/policies

· Ensure Drivers comply with applicable driving rules and regulations

· Manage Inventory (cycle counts, etc.)

· Coordinate with Sales Team for delivery requirements

· Operate equipment (forklifts and flat-bed trucks) as required

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Proven lumber yard work experience

· Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

· Strong customer service mindset

· Solid Problem-solving and Decision-making Skills

· Ability to execute Building Material mathematics

· Ability to use, and/or learn, Point of Sale software (Ponderosa)

· Ability to cross-train to perform shipping/receiving duties as occasional fill-in

· Ability to operate a forklift

· Current Driver’s License

· Ability to lift 100 lbs

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Job Type: Full-time
