Agricultural Marketing Specialist (Loan Officer)
The Missouri Agricultural & Small Business Development Authority (MASBDA)'s purpose is to promote the development of agriculture and small business to reduce, control and prevent environmental damage in Missouri by providing additional sources of financing. This program provides financial assistance for the production, processing, and marketing needs of an alternative enterprise other than traditional agriculture.
The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a full time Agricultural Loan Officer position. This position is perfect for someone who likes to stay busy and enjoys variety in their work, working with producers, and visiting farms and banks all over the state.
SALARY: $50,188.08 annually
Location: Jefferson City, Missouri (applicant must reside or be willing to relocate to this area).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Explains programs to loan applicants, banks, and agribusiness leaders.
- Prepares and presents grant recommendations for board approval.
- Prepares and presents loan recommendations for board approval.
- Represents our organization at trade shows and industry events.
- Completes regular bank and farm visits.
- Reviews delinquencies and analyzes collection issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with specialization in finance, business, or accounting AND
- Two or more years of experience in finance, accounting, marketing or business management AND/OR One or more years of experience in loan administration, servicing, amortization, or guaranty.
- Valid Missouri Driver License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion and working knowledge of agriculture.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships.
- Enjoys statewide travel.
