Position for CNA and HHA's, with 2 years of verifiable work experience within the home health field. Competitive wages based on experience,

Qualifications:

1. Each CNA applicant must present a Florida certification/license.

2. HHA’s must show evidence of 40 hours training with the curriculum that was covered,

3. Both CNA and HHA must provide documentation of state required Initial HIV in-service, 2 hours Alzheimer’s in-service and have an active CPR certification.

4. All applicants should have at least two years of experience in home care.

5. Physical within 6 months

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible to document services provided to the patient.

2. Paperwork must be submitted to the office every Monday by 12 noon. Documentation must be complete, legible, signed, and dated.

3. (Responsible for observing gross appearance and behavioral changes in the patient and reporting the change to the RN. If working in a facility, must report to responsible facility staff supervisor as well as to the agency.

4. Must maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment. This includes or may include light -housekeeping, straightening of the bathroom, sleeping, and living areas, and washing clothes and dishes and such tasks to as maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Will perform other duties as taught and documented by the Registered Nurse, restricted to the following:

5. Will assist patient with the activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, ambulation, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, eating, physical transferring and other duties as assigned.

6. Assist with the use of devices such as walkers and wheelchair.

7. Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises.

8. Measure and prepare meals in accordance with the patient’s diet.

9. Measure intake and output.

10. Measure temperature, pulse, respiration.

11. Assist with prescribed ice cap or collar.

12. Perform simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.

13. Can assist with emptying and change a colostomy bag that does not adhere to the skin and

14. Reinforcement of dressing. As well as, catheter care, emptying and changing a urinary catheter

drainage bag.

15. Will perform other activities as taught and documented by a registered nurse.

16. CNA/HHA’s will be supervised on a bi-monthly basis by an RN to assess patient condition and quality of care provided, according to the state rules and patient/responsible party approval.

17. Assist patient with medication reminders.

18. CNA/HHA’s can assist patient with self-administration of medications only when 2 hr certificate/documentation of training is submitted to this agency and is contained in their personnel file.
Can transport patient to MD appointments, do grocery shopping, and perform other errands

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Experience:

• Home health: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Required)

• AHCA Level 2 Background Check (Required)
• HHA (Preferred)
