Come join our team at Little Fish! Located right on Kenney's Beach in Southold.

We are a dedicated team, creating a fun work environment and looking for the right staff to join us for the short and long term. Our concept is coastal cuisine, beach food with an elevated twist.

We are looking for line and prep cooks to prepare food to expectations and set up stations for opening menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the head chef with daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow head chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes in high quality and a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Work together to ensure success as a team

Skills

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Core understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Ability to adapt and take on tasks as a team player
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• English preferred but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
