Prep Cook/Line Cook Position
Westwood Country Club in Vienna, VA is looking for a Prep Cook/Line Cook!
The perfect Prep Cook/Line Cook candidate will possess "hands-on" fine dining cooking skills, attention to detail, commitment to hospitality, positive team-player attitude and the proven ability to be a leader. Westwood Country Club in Vienna, VA is looking for Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our fast paced, high volume location! We are currently searching for candidates with 3 year of previous full-service restaurant experience to join our team in a full time position! MUST be able to work weekends!! Responsible for:
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Answer, report and follow management instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Refers and follows daily prep list
Ensures all designated equipment and work areas are properly cleaned, fully operational and in proper working condition, prior to shift.
Informs Executive Chef or direct supervisor immediately of faulty equipment or product shortages.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members
Requirements:
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. Organize and participate in all cleaning and sanitizing procedures. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Familiar with industry’s best practices. Culinary school diploma
Physical Requirements:
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Cooking demo will be part of the interview process!!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
