About the role

The Licensing Recruitment Specialist recruits' families, guides them through the licensure process and supervises and prepares them to become foster family homes for youth needing out-of-home placement. This position requires a non-traditional, flexible workweek, which includes evenings and weekends as necessary. This role also transports foster children using their own vehicle and is on call to respond to families in crisis with the goal of maintaining the safety of family members and reinstating family stability.

In this role you will coordinate an array of services as required by the State of Michigan laws, Division of Child Welfare Licensing (DCWL) requirements, and applicable Service Standards.

Required Education: BSW (or equivalent as defined by DCWL).

Experience: One-year of experience working with families and assessment skills preferred. Knowledge in trauma-informed care, strength-based family work and must be solution-focused.
