JOB TITLE: HOME HEALTH RNs & LPNs NEEDED!

TYPE: PART TIME & PRN in Grimsley, TN

OVERVIEW

At Brightstar Care Knoxville, the Licensed Practical Nurse is a member of the home care team who performs various nursing tasks in addition to making sure that the Plan of Care is being followed.

The nurse will be responsible for helping maintain safety and provide continuity of care for each patient.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Creating a positive experience for the patient, provide caring, and professional work environment.

• Head to toe assessment
• Be able to transfer patient with a Hoyer lift
• Give medication
• Assess patients to prevent skin breakdown. May provide wound care if ordered by the Plan of Care.
• Observe & report any patient changes to the Physician(s)
• Provide any necessary education to the patient regarding their health.
• Able to have excellent written skills; provide proper documentation in patient records.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Current RN or LPN license (no restrictions)
• Certified in CPR
• Licensed driver with automobile that is insured
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision; able to follow each patient as their needs change.
• Empathy for the needs of the patient
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to express spoken and/or written ideas in English. Treats patients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image. Works as a team member. Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
