Job Objective

We are seeking a Lead Unity SDK Engineer who will join our fast-growing team with intensive growth opportunities and help develop Leia Inc's current and next-gen display products. Committed to offering immersive and interactive 3D experiences to our customers, this team builds the core technologies to make the immersive 3D Lightfield experience possible. From runtime software to developer SDK and game engines, this team will be responsible for creating and optimizing 3D Lightfield technologies vertically across the software stacks, empowering our developers to create the best 3D Lightfield applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Integrate proprietary Technology / SDK into Engine.
• Optimize Engine for system hardware.
• Develop innovating 3D Lightfield game engine features.
• Work with the internal SDK / Runtime team on developer facing XR extensions.
• Developer ecosystem support, addressing developer pain points.
• Drive 3D Lightfield Engine technology direction with the XFN team.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of Unity Engine or other game engine development experience.
• Proven success at software system design and game engine architecture, ability to work in big codebase and drive complex software component development.
• Excellent understanding of modern graphic pipeline.
• Familiar with one or more graphics API (Vulkan/OpenGL/DirectX/Metal).
• Strong in C++ & C# Programming.
• Experience with low level performance profiling and optimization.
• Experience as a Tech lead with expert understanding of Unity Engine Architecture.

Preferable Skills
Experience with the following technologies/ tools

• URP/HDRP
• AR/VR
• OpenXR
• Android development (SDK / NDK)
• Experience delivering AAA Games
• Familiar with modern mobile CPU/GPU architecture (eg. Qualcomm SOC)
• Experience with Native Unity Engine Plugin development and CPU / GPU Profiling tool development.

This position is based in Menlo Park, CA
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $19,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
