Call for Lead Pastor

Our historic Baptist church invites applicants for a man with a divine calling and passion for preaching the inspired Word of God to shepherd our flock. We are a mission-minded group of believers with love for Christ, joy in His salvation, and unshakable spiritual fidelity founded upon biblical doctrine.

The Lead Pastor must embrace the tenants and beliefs of Baptist doctrinal statements including but not limited to baptism by immersion, understanding of marriage, and congregationalism. He must be able to live and serve in a rural setting in a post-Christian culture and have an exceptional Christian biblical worldview.

Primary job responsibilities include preaching each Sunday morning and teaching each Wednesday night.

Qualifications

· Evident joyful discipline in the study of the Word of God

· Fruitful in evangelism and discipleship

· History of faithful stewardship

· Willingness to visit church members or visitors in homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities

· Expository approach to preaching and teaching

Preferences

· Previously ordained in Baptist church

· Capable of leading other aspects of worship

· Willingness to perform administrative duties on church behalf when needed

· Ability to council church members one-on-one

· College degree and/or seminary trained; tuition reimbursement may be a possibility

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
