**After an in-office training period, this is a hybrid remote position that allows for 3-4 days of telework, if eligibility requirements are met. Utah State Bar annual fees paid as a benefit, as well as medical, dental, vision from day one, 12 paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, etc.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
As the Law Clerk/Attorney, you will work with the Administrative Law Judge Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting orders on multiple types of evidentiary and dispositive motions as well assisting drafting conclusions of law and findings of fact for recommended orders.
- Drafting and editing administrative rules, fiscal analyses, and coordination with division rule-writers on amendments. .
- Attending and assisting in informal and formal administrative adjudications before different division boards and commissions.
- Coordinating with both respondents, or respondents’ counsel, and Utah Attorneys General to facilitate hearings, orders, and evidentiary exhibits. .
- Assisting in miscellaneous legal projects for Commerce Admin.

- Strong analytical skills in determining violations of the law
- Ability to apply applicable statutes and administrative rules to facts in Commerce investigations
- Dexterity with technology
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
PREFERENCES
Preferences may be given for the following:
- Experience in administrative law hearings or motion practice.
