Job Description

We are seeking an experienced individual to fill an immediate opening and join our team as a Land Survey Technician at our Pennsylvania office located in Moon Township, PA. This is a full-time, hourly position, as weather permits, and starts from $20 - $25 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA/NSPS, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients
• Carry survey equipment and perform other physical tasks including the use of sledgehammers for driving hubs, stakes, and iron rods as points of reference
• Clear and cut line of sight for survey lines
• Learn to set-up and operate survey equipment including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of one year of land survey experience preferred
• Be willing to travel in a 6-state area for projects that could require 2 weeks in the field
• Must have a valid driver’s license to get approval from company insurance to drive company vehicles
• Must pass drug screen and background check
• Be organized, punctual, and accountable
• Be able to work outdoors in all seasons
• Be able to lift and carry 25+ pounds of equipment and tools
• Have clean and legible handwriting
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of survey data collector software
• Knowledge of math required for surveying
• HAZWOPER 40-hour training is preferred
