Job Description
We are seeking an experienced individual to fill an immediate opening and join our team as a Land Survey Technician at our Pennsylvania office located in Moon Township, PA. This is a full-time, hourly position, as weather permits, and starts from $20 - $25 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA/NSPS, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients
- Carry survey equipment and perform other physical tasks including the use of sledgehammers for driving hubs, stakes, and iron rods as points of reference
- Clear and cut line of sight for survey lines
- Learn to set-up and operate survey equipment including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one year of land survey experience preferred
- Be willing to travel in a 6-state area for projects that could require 2 weeks in the field
- Must have a valid driver’s license to get approval from company insurance to drive company vehicles
- Must pass drug screen and background check
- Be organized, punctual, and accountable
- Be able to work outdoors in all seasons
- Be able to lift and carry 25+ pounds of equipment and tools
- Have clean and legible handwriting
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of survey data collector software
- Knowledge of math required for surveying
- HAZWOPER 40-hour training is preferred
