General Labor (Production Floor)

Tasks: Mechanical parts/components identification & knowledge of use.

• Use of mechanical tools and power hand tools
• Operate Radial Arm Saw if and when needed
• Manually load and unload parts into the machines
• Check machine operations and report faults to Supervisor
• Assemble or Kit parts according to work instructions
• Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Handling & use of measurement equipment’s
• Complete necessary inspection forms
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment like Forklifts
• Manual Weight Handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Take inventory and Tag all products, as necessary
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures

Work Skills: Repetitive tasks; Manual dexterity

• Comfortable working in fast paced environment
• Must be able to follow all safety rules and maintain a clean working environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Some computer skills preferred
• Forklift certification desired

Responsibility: As decided by Supervisor

Experience: No experience needed

• Experience in production, ideally in metal fabrication environment preferred.

Qualification: No degree, certificate or diploma needed

• Reads, comprehends, understands, speaks and writes English
• Able to read and follow written and oral instructions
• HS diploma/GED preffered

Personal Skills: Follow specific verbal and written instructions

• Work cooperatively or independently and inspire a team effort with all

Duration and Location: Hourly 10 hour shifts (6:00am to 4:30pm Mon - Thurs or Tues - Fri)
