LABORATORY SCIENTIST - LEVEL 1

2nd Shift & Day Shift

Our Laboratory Scientists do important work that provides high quality, defensible data for our clients. In this role you’ll use state-of-the-art equipment & instruments to generate analytical data supporting environmental compliance and decision making. We have a variety of laboratory sectors including Inorganics, Metals, Microbiology and PFAS, as well as Organics Semi-Volatiles and Volatiles.

WHO SHOULD APPLY? Candidates with at least 2 years of hands-on laboratory job experience beyond college and/or internships. Our immediate needs are for 2nd shift in our Inorganics lab as well as our PFAS prep lab.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Complete preparation and analyses in accordance with SOPs
  • Assess Quality Control and determine if results are valid for reporting
  • Utilize technology and reference materials to problem solve and make decisions
  • Continuously improve processes to maximize quality and turnaround time while minimizing costs
  • Develop and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of laboratory systems, instrumentation and technology
  • Participate in lab investigations and resolving issues with analytical systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Microbiology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related area; Associate’s degree; OR equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of hands-on laboratory job experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently lift & move items weighing approx. 5 to 10 pounds & occasionally lift up to 50 pound.
  • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling
  • Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness to make laboratory observations
  • Employee is subject to typical lab conditions, including potential exposure to chemicals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
