Job description
This position is critical to the infrastructure and development of the Starlab initiative here at The Ohio State University. Responsibilities will include the management and oversight of projects, physical space, and lab resources for the Terrestrial Analog Facility (TAF). The individual will need to coordinate on hardware delivery, set up, and the operations of OSU's Starlab logistics with George Washington Carver Science Park (GWCSP) partners. The individual will represent the GWCSP/ TAF at events and attend planning meetings pertaining to ongoing and future TAF operations. The prospective candidate will aid in writing and the development of ongoing proposals relating to projects within the GWCSP/ TAF.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of laboratory operation management.
- Creating, tracking and oversight of system required documentation.
- Experience using project management software and tools; Microsoft office, TEAMS, Zoom, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience writing and developing proposals.
- Knowledge of using agricultural and plant biological research.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, engineering
