Seneca Foods in Payette, Idaho is currently seeking a Label Line Adjuster to join our Labeling/Warehouse team on 2nd shift. In this role, you will be a valuable part of our Labeling/Warehouse team, observing the highest standards of safety and quality while ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion. You will need to be reliable, punctual, and able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of the case stacker and tray former equipment.
  • Responsible for periodically clearing any obstructions within the case stacker or tray former equipment.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the cans being used for the order and the printing on the trays.
  • Must confirm the shrink wrap used on the cases is correct.
  • Responsible for printing the finished goods ticket.
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and/or records
  • Must complete mandated documentation in a neat and timely manner.
  • Always maintain a clean work area.
  • Communicate respectfully with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Inspect cans after labeling for damage, bad seals, incorrect/missing coding, etc.
  • Possess the ability to determine that an issue requires additional assistance (unclear instructions, equipment breakdown is beyond the individual’s capability to repair it, etc.)
  • Adhere to plant GMPs, SOPs, Safety, and JSA procedures and standards related to this position.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Must be familiar with Label Line operations.
  • Must understand the mechanics of a tray line.
  • Must have working knowledge of or ability to learn inventory scanners.
  • Must have good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be familiar with Seneca coding for brite and finished items.
  • Must be able to operate or learn to operate a tray assembly machine, the glue applicator, tray printing system, and the case stacker on the line.
  • Must be able to operate or learn to operate the P244 inventory system.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from all sources.
  • Must be able to perform a job from oral or written instructions.
  • Must have the ability to maintain composure to control emotions under stress using tact, good judgment, and the ability to work with others as a team.
  • Possess strong decision-making skills with the ability to exercise good judgment to ensure issues are resolved quickly and communicated with supervision.
  • Must be able to tolerate a moderate-to-high noise level in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to work in extreme (hot or cold) weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work on foot for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift 45 pounds.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
