JOB OVERVIEW
The primary role and responsibility of the Kitchen Director is to bring full leadership, management, and support to the following business success factors: People, Quality & Customer Experience, Sales & Brand Growth, and Financial Return.
PEOPLE
- Fully responsibility for leading specific area of the business. Communicate vision and provide focus to restaurant management team.
- Engage and develop others - coach, provide feedback, hold accountable, assess talent, and inspire the team to be their best.
- Serve and support HR and Training directors to achieve goals in their respective areas
- Work with other leaders to ensure Chick-fil-A culture is upheld and that the team feels appreciated and recognized
- Ensure team is receiving consistent development opportunities and performance feedback
- Identify and communicate training gaps and help implement corrective plans
- Ensure hiring needs and growth positions are communicated to HR Director
- Identify and develop talent, keeping a full bench for each role
QUALITY & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
- Ensure food safety is priority through proper hand-washing, tracking time and temperature, and LEAN and product rotation procedures
- Ensure 100% completion of daily food safety evaluations
- Ensure restaurant management team has clear understanding of food safety protocol and guide behaviors that support food safety initiatives
- Create and manage operational systems that increase customer through-put and situate the business for sales growth
- Create and manage operational systems that align with restaurant operating strategy centered on customer care
- Ensure Great Food goals are being achieved (Taste, Temperature, Portion Size, Food Safety)
- Ensure Fast and Accurate Service goals are being achieved (Fast Service, Ease, Accuracy)
- Ensure Genuine Hospitality goals are being achieved (Attentive & courteous employees, problem resolution, Cleanliness)
SALES & BRAND GROWTH
- Support Marketing Director to ensure marketing/sales initiatives to build sales and brand are executed well
- Ensure operations can support in-restaurant sales-building strategy and results in annual sales growth goals
- Work with Marketing Director to ensure in-restaurant events and promotions align with operational capacity (e.g. appropriate staffing, etc.)
- Clearly communicate with Marketing Director any operational issues with marketing strategies
FINANCIAL RETURN
- Responsible for inventory management
- Lead and/or delegate supplier orders and deliveries
- Track quality Incidents and credits
- Participate in End of Month processing needs as requested
- Have clear understanding of supplier payments and daily report process
- Create and/or oversee weekly schedule for respective area of the business
- Minimize positive food cost gap to achieve specific goal
- Maximize productivity to achieve specific goal
- Ensure restaurant layout supports reducing unnecessary labor
OPERATIONS/ADMINISTRATION
- Work a total of 45-55 hours per week, with ability to work more if the business requires
- Serve in an operational position a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Ensure safety and security protocols are understood and followed by restaurant managers (e.g. opening/closing procedures, team safety, etc.)
- Develop restaurant management team to operate the restaurant efficiently and according to Chick-fil-A procedures from 6:30am - 10:00pm
- Be available to train new team members as needed
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- English-Spanish bi-lingual highly preferred
- Self-starter, results-oriented
- Effective communicator who can lead, manage, and develop others
- Ability to influence through relationship and example
- Ability to multi-task with timeliness and accuracy
- Exemplary leader of the Chick-fil-A Brand
- Ability to work 45-55 hours per week

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
