Description:
Oversee daily practice and weekly competition schedules for 7th and 8th Grade Girls and/or Boys Basketball. Provide bus supervision for all out-of-town competitions, and locker room supervision throughout the season. Build quality relationships with middle school youth and maintain cooperative partnerships with paid and volunteer coaches. Build a strong communication network with program staff, parents, and community. Provide inventory management of all supplies, equipment, and uniforms and report competition scores to the OMS Activities Coordinator. Both Head Coach and Assistant Coaching positions available for seasons described below.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED - two or four-year degree in an education related field preferred. Basketball coaching experience including foundational skill development required. Excellent inter/intra-personal skills. Focus on leadership and the community of Owatonna as a whole are highly desired. Strong technology skills beneficial. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

$1,475 per head coach per season
