Java Software Engineer with TS/SCI & Full Scope Polygraph Job Description

Overview:

Highly motivated, self-starting, upbeat Sr. Java Developer to join our team, within the National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector. We enable national security missions through the creation and delivery of innovative, technology driven solutions that provide advantages to our customers. We build and deploy applications which have a direct impact on US Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) ability to capture information that is imperative to national security missions and to enable mission success. We are seeking back-end Java developers with hardware systems experience that are passionate about this line of work and eager to contribute to the design and implementation of complex distributed scalable applications and infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

• Help develop roadmaps to ensure proper level of support to meet evolving customer needs
• Develop and maintain user and administrative documentation to meet contract requirements
• Develop, maintain, and enhance a diverse software system
• Follow industry best practices for software development, such as scrum and use of Atlassian tools
• Execute the research, ,engineering, and development of solutions to support operational systems with regard to timeframe and budget
• Participate in code reviews and submit work which is subject to review by team members
• Refine/enhance existing applications to best meet customer/operational requirements
• Optimize operational software as necessary to meet continuously evolving cyber security requirements
• Apply system level knowledge/analysis (OS/hardware) to diagnose issues and provide solutions
• Profile, analyze, and optimize legacy software system

You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
• 4+ years of development experience preferably Java
• Advanced Linux system and scripting experience
• Solid understanding of software, complex design concepts, patterns, tools, and best practices
• Understanding of embedded systems, distributed systems and networking
• Understanding of software life-cycle management (and tools)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Python and/or shell scripting
• Understanding of Disk drive technology and protocols
• Working knowledge of storage systems and associated technologies
• Understanding of Data At Rest Encryption systems

Compensation Range:

<7 Years of Experience ~ $100,000

7-14 Years of Experience ~ $160,000

>14 Years of Experience ~ $200,000+
