Our client is a growing Property Management company based in Lansing, MI seeking a Janitorial Supervisor who will be responsible for managing and supervising a general apartment janitorial staff for all buildings in the Lansing region. This is a hands-on supervisory position that will be working alongside their team to complete daily tasks and work orders in a timely manner. The Janitorial Supervisor must be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Janitorial Supervisor duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage a team of three (3) janitorial staff
• Ensure unit turns are cleaned
• Maintaining cleanliness of interior and exterior of all buildings
• Create schedules for team to follow based on cleanliness at properties
• Meet with team on a weekly basis to discuss any issues, challenges, or achievements for the week

Individual must possess the following skills:

• Ability to work with and manage a team
• Ability to solve problems
• Attention to detail
• Punctual

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in multifamily, apartment, or residential janitorial experience, preferably some time spent in a managerial position
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background screen
• Live in Lansing or the surrounding area

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Benefits:

• 50% subsidized health care after 30 days of employment. Dental and vision available as well
• PTO - 1% of weekly wages allocated to PTO (20 hrs/year)
• Paid Holidays - after 6 months with the company
• Mileage reimbursement
