BRIDGE Housing strengthens communities by developing, owning and managing high quality affordable homes for working families and seniors. We are looking for a reliable Janitor to support operations at one of our properties in Pacifica, CA.

As a Janitor, you will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly tasks associated with the cleaning and repair of the overall property and individual resident units. Maintenance staff is expected to maintain BRIDGE Property Management Company’s high standards in order to present the property in outstanding condition and provide residents with a safe, secure and well-maintained living environment. This property is a senior apartment community located next to the beach.

This position works 20 hours per week and is eligible for our 403(b) retirement plan with employer match.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintenance of:
  • exterior of the property including gates, entrances, garage doors, trash pick-up and removal, etc.
  • interior courtyards and walk ways, including light fixtures, hallways, inside windows, vents, etc.
  • trash and garbage enclosures
  • laundry rooms and washer/dryer equipment
  • front lobby, community rooms and leasing office
  • individual apartment units, including turnarounds with respect to garbage disposals, toilets, locks, painting, re-caulking, carpet cleaning
• Work with outside vendors and contractors to fulfill work orders

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior experience in janitor work, preferably in an apartment or residential setting
• Ability to work with and around people in a positive and cooperative manner
• Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in handling cleaning and maintenance equipment
