Nightshift opportunity - Monday - Saturday, 4pm - 2:30am

MUST HAVE FORKLIFT AND WAREHOUSE EXPERIENCE!!

Starting salary - $17.00/hourly plus $1.25 night shift differential


SUMMARY

An Associate, Inventory Control I, VPC under the leadership of the Operations Manager, will support the process to satisfy new and current customer demands for Toyota vehicles by providing the vehicles to dealers and customers that meet their demands. The Associate will receive, store, and pick accessories to support operations in the GST VPC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Work Productively and safely
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality requirements. Comply with all safety rules, i.e. wear required personal protective equipment: boots, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment and tools
  • Load/unload inbound trailers as directed
  • Follow established truck load/offload process, i.e. count to ensure offload meets order counts, place received accessories into appropriate stocking locations.
  • Support and deliver parts to assigned area of responsibility in production
  • Rotate to new area of responsibility as scheduled (approx. 6 month rotation)
  • Stock and maintained assigned area of responsibility
  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
  • Participate and support daily cycle count and reconciliation activities and support annual full physical VPC accessory cycle count activities.
  • Operate the Clear Film Cutting Station
  • Determine appropriate number of kits, and replacement pieces, to cut and stock per shift.
  • Weed the Clear Film kits in order to allow production to process efficiently.
  • Act as first point of review and check for quality of film. Notify Technical Trainer and/or supervisor if a problem is identified.
  • Inventory and reconcile part quantities.
  • Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
  • Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus zero to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to become Forklift certified within 90-days.
  • Demonstrate ability to use scanners and associated computers
  • Is able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets for products used in processing
  • Is able to communicate effectively in English - orally and in writing
  • Is able to understand accessory codes and part numbers
  • Able to perform basic math addition and subtraction

COMPLIANCE

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with GST policies, dealer franchise agreements, and TMS operating standards, and applicable federal and state laws; including the EPA, OSHA, MSDS, & Texas health and safety laws.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend written and oral English instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively discuss information in on-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, night vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters
while performing the essential responsibilities of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud (below OSHA standard of 85 decibels).
