The Novelis Corporate Internal Audit team is seeking an
Internal Auditor of Information Technology, who will report to the Global IT Audit Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Global Corporate team where we are continually considering and implementing cutting edge technology to sustain our continue growth as a result of customer demands for sustainable aluminum products!
With a primary focus on information systems, you'll assume duties identifying and assessing IT risk related to ensuring compliant designs that maintain a comprehensive and robust control environment. As the IT Auditor, you'll conduct audits of intricate processes or technical areas, lead teams of auditors on audit projects, and will assist the Global IT Audit Manager, on various departmental or continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.

- Manage audit and non-audit projects globally to meet deadlines and project budgets.
- Assess risk to determine appropriate audit objectives, scope, and procedures.
- Handle the preparation of audit programs and working papers detailing audit procedures/techniques and to ensure adequate audit evidence according to department and professional standards.
- Use technical, business, and problem-solving skills to provide in-depth audit and consulting services for system development projects, focusing on business process, application, information technology and project management risks and controls.
- Identify and classify potential business risks, operational inefficiencies, and significant internal control weaknesses.
- Advise on the controls design of prospective controls as they are designed.
- Report audit findings clearly and concisely (orally and written) and make recommendations for correcting unsatisfactory conditions, improving operations, and reducing costs.
- Effectively use audit management software and related tools.
- Demonstrate understanding of financial accounting concepts and controls, project management controls, general computer controls and SDLC frameworks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, or related field
- 2 - 5 years of internal audit of IT systems experience with a large organization with multiple locations, preferably operating on a multi-national scale but not required.
- Able to demonstrate understanding of diverse business processes, managing a team of auditors on projects, and the ability to interact naturally with employees at all levels
- Exemplifies techniques to efficiently implement audits of sophisticated business processed with limited direction from Manager/Director
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multidisciplinary, upbeat environment and to establish strong working relationships with staff, managers, and peers
- Demonstrates the ability to coordinate the work of others, whether internal or external resources
- Strong analytical and business process analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal capabilities
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to travel about 25% or once per month. May include some international travel to Europe or Brazil on an annual basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISA certification.
- Experience in IT or other technical setting that includes an in depth understanding of information systems and IT auditing.
