The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is the U.S. Government agency in charge of designing, building, launching, and maintaining America’s intelligence satellites.

What You'll Do

• Make recommendations and prepare briefings, point papers and other materials based on research and analysis of complex issues
• Maintain awareness of policies, directives, guidance and instructions that impact performance management programs in order to advise leadership of requirements and timelines
• Participate in meetings, internal committees, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups and task forces
• Support all business functions required to ensure smooth performance of the Directorate’s mission and the senior leadership team’s responsibilities
• Develop and provide preparatory briefings, data and information to ensure leadership is properly informed and prepared for participation in NRO senior-level meetings
  
• Track, file, and close Tracking Information & Enterprise Response (TIER) actions
• Assigning, coordinating, consolidating and evaluating group responses in order to present a polished, timely and accurate client products
• Develop strategies for Senior Leadership engagement based on NRO leadership plans, strategic guidance and office goals. Review NRO and Directorate calendars to maintain awareness of enterprise engagement activities and to identify Senior Leadership engagement opportunities
  
• Maintain annual governance policy and implement the governance processes. Support the annual preparation of directorate's statement of assurance (SOA). Support responsibilities related to NRO strategic decision framework, continuity of operations (COOP), military summits and war gaming exercises
• Provide protocol support, oversight and management for sponsored distinguished visitors and those assigned by NRO protocol. Submit Distinguished Visitor (DV) TIER requests for cross-tower support / coordination. Review briefing slides for format, consistency and content. Report historic visitor trend analysis annually
• Develop, maintain and present communications and business documentation including: Overview briefings, Year-In-Review, Weekly Activity Reports, Bi-weekly Insight publications, All-hands and off-site agendas and briefings; Input to the NRO town hall meetings, Congressional testimony and similar activities

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors and/or applicable experience supporting NRO or IC leadership
  
• Experience in Functional Discipline (Action Officer)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, TIER and/or SAP experience
• NRO Action Officer Orientation Program or equivalent
• NRO Correspondence Workshop or equivalent
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
