Job description
Davidson is seeking an Integrated Discrimination Analyst located in Huntsville, AL.
- Individual will provide advanced discrimination techniques analysis, assessments, and evaluations for future countermeasure mitigation and discrimination requirements in the areas of Electronic Protection (EP), Sensor Resource Management (SRM) and C2 Decision Logic (DL)
- This entails identifying trends in adversary technologies, quantifying the impact of these advances, and identifying potential solutions, operational concepts, or capabilities that could counter adversary advances
- Individual will drive activities that develop and mature advanced sensing and C2 technologies including EO/IR sensor systems and concepts leading to System level requirements definition and development
- These activities will include the development of prototype algorithms and medium-fidelity models and simulations
- The individual will use performance modeling or simulation tools to conduct analyses
- The individual will generate analysis results, assist in the development of requirements definition and related decision briefings
- Individual will perform as a lead of a small research team and interface regularly with the government stakeholders
Requirements:
- 20 years of experience with a degree in an engineering, mathematics or physics: Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD.
- Individual must have significant experience in addressing countermeasures, multi-phenomenology sensing, advanced command and control, and weapon systems
- Individual must be experienced in electronic protection (EP), RF/EO/IR sensor technologies, sensor phenomenology, signal processing, and discrimination
- Individual must have a background that includes the development of detail modeling and simulation capabilities utilizing MATLAB and utilizing simulations for trade study analysis
- Individual must possess good communication skills
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment
Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:
- Analysis experience in aspects of the missile defense system (e.g. Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Fire Control (FOM, GFC), C2BMC, BMDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, counter-countermeasures, or threats)
- A basic understanding of performance parameters, technical performance measures, methods and techniques definition, sensors, missiles, interceptors, detection/tracking, or Command and Control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.) analysis is desired
- Individual with demonstrated team leadership experience is desired
- Must be capable of obtaining a Top Secret/SCI clearance
