What: Assist families with Medicaid applications so they can focus on their loved ones. The Medicaid Specialist will manage the Medicaid application process, as well as handle annual re certifications and eligibility issues.
Where: A friendly, community-based nursing home
Responsibilities:
- Educate potential enrollees regarding the Medicaid process.
- Collect documentation and assemble/submit application packets.
- Follow-up communication with LDSS offices to track applications through the system.
- Recertify all residents' coverage before it lapses (typically annually).
- Research and resolve Medicaid issues including provision of requested documentation within specified time frames.
- Maintain accurate records of members' eligibility statuses and recertification dates.
- Be a community ambassador for the facility.
Qualifications
You should be highly organized and a team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with residents, families, and the government agencies with which we work. You must have the ability to work independently managing multiple projects as there is plenty of room for growth in this organization.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 1 year of Medicaid Experience.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Booster is not required.
