Cedar Hills Recreation Center is hiring instructors in a variety of different program areas! We are seeking community and safety-oriented individuals, with a desire to share their passion for recreation with community members of all ages.

We are seeking flexible team members with the ability to support the needs of individuals, as well as manage groups of students, all while teaching introductory skills in their respective program area. Classes take place both indoors and outdoors, with an emphasis on safety and recreational fun! We are currently hiring part-time, 29 hours/week instructors for the spring, with the ability to continue year-round, with seasonal 40 hours/week summer opportunities also available.

Cedar Hills Recreation Center is seeking instructors for teaching classes to preschool and school-aged youth in the following program areas:

• Gymnastics – All Levels
• Sports – Examples: Basketball, Soccer, Football, Lacrosse, Tennis, T-Ball/Softball/Baseball, Karate, and Introduction to Sports/Athletics (multi-sport classes)
• Dance – Examples: Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Dress Up and Dance
• STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering
• Arts & Crafts

Hours: Staff are typically scheduled anywhere from 5 to 29 hours per week; with flexible scheduling depending on skill and availability, between the hours of 8:00 am – 8:00pm, Monday – Friday and 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Saturdays. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year.

Pay Rate Range: $16.89 - $32.16 hourly, depending on position/experience. Most positions will start at the Instructor I or II payrate ($16.89 - $20.74) Bilingual employees who utilize their language skills in the workplace can earn an additional 3% pay incentive!

The Fine Print (see specific hyperlinked job descriptions below):

• Instructor I: No teaching experience required, must love working with people of all ages and abilities; be able to work inside and outside; and be at least 16 years of age.
• Instructor II: Must have at least 1-year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age.
• Instructor III: Must have over 1-year of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age.
• Instructor IV: This is an advanced level position. Candidates must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training equivalent to four years of college in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age.
