Job Description
Peterson Trucks has an immediate need for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to support Truck Sales at our Portland, OR location.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing sales coverage for new and used trucks to all customers that are not assigned to the Outside Account Sales Representatives. Employee will be assigned their own customer list for which they will be responsible for sales coverage through the company’s CRM database. Additional functions including handling retail “Walk-In” sales, facilitating lead generation, managing the Truck Sales website, and negotiating online sales.

Make 50 outbound phone contacts per week to determine customer needs, present solutions and services to influence buying decisions.

Respond to the needs of walk-in customers

Market and sell to companies with fleet size 1-2 trucks within the Peterson AOR

Accountable for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) input with retail customers & prospects within assigned territory. All information, leads, activities, and equipment information will be kept current in CRM.

Monitor and Manage Peterson’s inventory and negotiate transactions for Peterson’s online truck sales through petersontrucks.com.

Evaluate leads effectively and efficiently, and determine whether to respond or pass the lead to sales management for assignment

Stay current on International Truck brand and competitive products in order to offer the best solutions based on customer interests and concerns

Conduct at least 1 marketing campaign per month.

Work safely, adhere to all applicable safety policies, and comply with all company policies, procedures and standards

Work within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization

Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED; and at least one year of related work experience, preferably in a truck sales environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. A candidate for the opening must have a valid Driver's License and be able to be medically certified to drive trucks up to 26,000lbs.
