Summary:

As a Power Electronics Engineer at Dynapower, you’ll be an integral part of the creative and technical team behind the design and development of our power conversion systems (Thyristor, Switch Mode power supplies, and Chopper Rectifiers). You’ll help us set the product strategy and introduce new products for our Industrial, High Power, Military, and Hydrogen divisions. You’ve got a proven track record of successful product design and are excited to be part of our mission to power a cleaner planet.


What You'll Be Doing:
On an average day, you'll
  • Work cross functionally with other groups to collaborate on new power electronic product design (such as Marketing, Sales, Procurement, and Engineering teams)
  • Review customer specifications and ensure the designed product meets all technical, budget, and schedule requirements (we build a lot of custom solutions)
  • Work closely with mechanical engineering to support the product design and manufacturing drawings
  • Use AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design and drafting
  • Support in-house contract manufacturing as well as test teams during product builds

What You Need To Apply:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years of experience working for an electrical equipment manufacturer - preferably in the power electronics and/or renewable energy industry
  • 3-5 years in a product design role
  • Knowledge of electronic board level design software or CAD Capture
  • Experience using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
  • PLC and HMI software knowledge (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)

Work Environment:
This is a full-time, salary-exempt position. This position is based in South Burlington, VT. The position operates in both a professional office environment and manufacturing environment. Regular trips to manufacturing floor or other manufacturing plants for observation, research or customer visits may be required.
