Industrial Custodian – Part Time, Old Town, Maine

Job Responsibilities:

• Must always demonstrate safe and clean work practices
• Responsible for cleaning 2 office areas and lavatories in a manufacturing building, some responsibilities include the following:
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop floors in each area
  • Clean bathrooms on each floor (counter tops, toilets, floors, mirrors and refill paper product receptacles
  • Trash removal in all offices, conference rooms and kitchen areas
  • Empty recycle bins for bottles and cans when needed
  • Wipe and sweep all common areas
  • Wipe & clean kitchenettes
• Request restocking of cleaning supplies
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position, which include, but not limited to lifting and pushing up to 30lbs, stooping and standing for long periods of time.
• Must work in collaboration with management on all aspects of the mill
• Must have good communication skills as they are a common interface with internal mill customers
• Report immediately any unsafe work conditions, defects in equipment or possible hazards as soon as they are noticed
• Ability to work a 20 hours per week

Required Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in an industrial setting is preferred
• Must possess independent decision making and critical thinking skills
