Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced industrial electrician with expertise in 3-phase 480V and industrial troubleshooting to install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures. The ideal candidate must be able to use hand, power, and precision measuring tools to diagnose problems with malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components. Additionally, the electrician will connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components while prioritizing safety regulations and required PPE.

• Ensure electrical equipment meets regulatory codes at the country, state and federal levels.

• Conduct rigging activities, safety-related functions, and miscellaneous electrical duties.

• Proficiently use hand and power shop tools while prioritizing safety.

• Demonstrate mechanical knowledge and programming of VFDs.

• Capable of using a forklift and manlift safely.

• Troubleshoot PLCs with ease.

• Physically capable of working from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

• Work in hot, cold, dirty, and fast-paced environments.

• Self-starter and able to take orders as directed.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment with machine operators and set up personnel.

• Undertake other duties as assigned.

• Required Skills And Education

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Possess a certified journeyperson’s card (or similar contractual Journeyperson status) or documentation of eight years minimum experience in a specific trade from previous employers on company letterhead. The candidate should be available to work overtime and flexible schedules as required within a union facility agreement. They should also be available to work any shift as required and pass pre-employment physical including drug testing.

Having a four-year journeyperson electrical card or 8 years documented on company letterhead relevant job experience is a plus.
