The primary responsibility of this position is to take ownership of the sales and use tax profile for the US operations.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns and coordinate payment submissions
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the sales and use tax accounts
• Prepare property tax return filings
• Implement process improvement of the compliance function
• Develop analytical procedures to provide better analysis to the finance team
• Maintain technical expertise through research platforms, training seminars, etc. and disseminate to key team members
• Engage in tax savings and refund opportunities
• Collaborate with third-party professionals for tax compliance and saving workstreams
• Assist with sales and use tax audit examinations
• Maintain compliance of internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Special projects and other duties as assigned

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor degree from accredited college or university in Accounting/Finance/Business
• Minimum 2 years of sales and use tax compliance, audit or planning experience
• Proficiency in researching and interpreting tax guidance through tax knowledge platforms such as CCH or RIA
• Other direct or indirect tax experience is an asset
• Experience with tax applications such as OneSource/ Vertex is an asset
