Description:

This position provides Human Resources support to the Kentucky Trailer Manufacturing at Logistics Drive in Louisville. KY. Assists in developing and improving programs and practices that ensure that KTM is an employer of choice. Provide support involving employee engagement and culture.


Position Key Accountabilities:

Safety

o Works closely with safety coordinators and safety teams to ensure Safety First and Always training programs are enforced. Assist safety team with posting communications on communication boards or Send Word Now


Recruiting

o Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to develop position descriptions, identify candidate sources, selection teams, and search timelines. Conduct employment interviews/assessments as needed, and provide feedback on candidates to the TA team.

Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding of new hires. Entering new hires into the HRIS system(ADP Workforce Now).


Employee Relations

o Collaborate with general managers and floor supervisors to ensure HR practices are followed including compliance, appropriate staffing levels, retention, employee training/engagement, performance and incentive programs.

o Oversee the management of all employee relations matters to ensure employees are treated fairly, and provided with competitive wages, benefits, and sound working conditions.

o Coach, facilitate and advise management toward the resolution of employee/management issues.

o Assist in the development of and improvement of programs and practices that ensure Kentucky Trailer is an employer of choice.

o Support managers and supervisors in making sure that Servant Leadership values are maintained.

o Support business partners in managing change and communication programs.


Performance Management Appraisal

o Work management team to create job descriptions, develop career paths, implement succession planning and improve the performance management system.

o Review performance management documentation and assist supervisors and managers with all aspects of the performance management process.

o Prepare for employee performance discussions or terminations with supervisors.

Salary and Benefit Administration

o Participate in and conduct wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates.

o Administer the Company’s base pay and incentive compensation program and provide consultation on compensation recommendations.

o Work with the Director of Human Resources to conduct and evaluate salary and benefits programs to ensure the company is providing a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package.

o Available to explain company benefit programs including health plan offerings and wellness program parameters.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of Associate's degree
  • 5 years or more experience in human resources.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with C-level to hourly associates, easy to approach, and practices fair treatment of all individuals.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting while managing numerous projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong Analytics skillset.
  • Prior experience working with ADP and Kronos/UKG.


Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of safety programs and OSHA requirements.
  • Employment law, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of technical and business fundamentals.


Schedule:


  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
