The Uftring Auto Group consists of eleven automotive franchises at six car dealerships in Peoria, East Peoria, Washington and North Pekin, Illinois. There are many opportunities for growth in sales, service, finance and insurance, detail, accounting, parts, body shop and customer service. Our organization also includes two detail facilities, car wash, accounting and marketing departments. Responsibilities
- Engage and partner with department leaders to determine strategic staffing and talent acquisition
- Prepare and distribute recruitment materials on local job boards, social media, in-person or virtual events, and other recruiting channels
- Source candidates using resume databases, social platforms, and our applicant tracking system
- Conduct candidate interviews, including exit interviews
- Responsible for researching, developing, and evaluating external sourcing resources. Partner with educational institutions, local chambers, etc., to recruit talented employees
- Stay in tune with the business needs by participating in daily team meetings and weekly manager meetings
- Ensure all hiring practices, policies, and forms are compliant with local, state, and federal law
- Responsible for developing and maintaining position descriptions for all active job roles
- Distribute active position postings both internally and externally
- Schedule and attend bi-annual OSHA safety training sessions
- Maintain the EHS program for employee training
- Schedule and attend Healthfairs
Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Human Resources role

Degree with Human Resources or Public Relations emphasis is preferred

Strong communication and critical thinking skills to interact effectively with dealership staff, vendors, and prospective employees

Previous experience interacting with the public is a plus

Handle confidential documents and information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and ethical conduct

Demonstrate versatility and flexibility as priorities change

Computer literacy and ability to learn company and applicant tracking software

Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Hours
- Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with overtime as needed
