Human Resources Assistant Manager
Job description
FTIC is a metal stamping and welding manufacturer located in Jamestown, Indiana. We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant Manager to join our operations and assist in coordinating the activities of the Human Resources department!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends salary job offers; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
- Coordinate team member counseling / disciplinary action including suspension meetings, terminations, and unemployment fact findings & hearings.
- Administer attendance program and team member transfer program.
- Assist in planning the operating budget for all areas of accountability.
- Provide team members with updated benefit information and policy / procedure interpretation.
- Providing critical feedback, effective team building and development, conducting formal performance review and participate in developing department goals and objectives
- Develop Human Resource staff, as well as work with other Managers in the development of their staff.
- Annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys, analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
- Files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Handle team member concerns and utilize effective problem solving to resolve issues in a timely matter
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Backup for HR Manager
- Other duties as assigned
- Bilingual a plus but not required.
- Must be flexible & able to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish FTIC goals & objectives
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in human resources preferred. Five (5) years human resource experience in an industrial environment is requested, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
